The World Class Data Infrastructure (WCDI), Edinburgh International Data Facility, is a core component of the Data Driven Innovation (DDI) Programme that forms an integral part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Deal investment proposition.

The new building at Easter Bush will house a new High Resiliency Computer Room and associated plant areas to house and support the computer equipment. It will extend the existing Advanced Computer Facility (ACF) which houses computer rooms, associated plant rooms and office space.

The new facility will require a substantial power supply which will be provided by Scottish Power Energy Networks via their Kaimes Primary station.  A new primary substation will be constructed as part of the project on the Easter Bush Campus.
