Security, safety and the wellbeing of the University community is at the heart of what we do. The University of Edinburgh Security Section provides a 24-hour service across the University estate on every day of the year. We have 60 members of staff who are easily recognisable by their red jackets. You will also spot our red electric vehicles across the estate. As well as routine foot and vehicle patrols we also monitor CCTV, intruder, fire and building access control systems. We work proactively to provide a safe and secure environment for all students and staff. Contact Security The Security Section can assist in an emergency, give out-of-hours student support, and help prevent crime in your area.
