40 George Square project

Overview of the work taking place at 40 George Square Tower from April to September 2026.

Work will be taking place at 40 George Square Tower from Monday 13 April to early September 2026 to support the ongoing maintenance and long-term condition of the building.

Management: Estates Development

Main Contractor: Crown Services Organisations Ltd.

Planned Timescale: 13 April – September 2026 

 

Works will be taking place at 40 George Square Tower, commencing Monday 13th April, until September 2026. The works are to install a stainless steel mesh system to the east and west façade of the tower to support cladding stability.

Installation is done by cradle and rope access, and a safety exclusion zone has been established around the work areas. Regular access to and from the building will continue.

All statutory consents are in place for this project.
