Three major projects are planned for the King’s Buildings campus with a total value of around £200m representing the most significant investment in the estate for 50 years. Engineering Forum: Project Completion The new Engineering Forum building brings together cutting-edge renewable energy research and state-of-the-art teaching facilities within the hub at King’s Buildings. The building encompasses advanced labs, collaborative learning spaces, and vibrant social areas and opened its doors on Monday 6 April 2026. New Darwin The Darwin Building replaces the former tower with a sustainable, energy-efficient bioscience hub. This interdisciplinary facility features advanced research labs, incubator spaces and teaching areas designed to solve global challenges.
