Learning & Teaching Spaces Design is responsible for the Learning and Teaching spaces associated with major capital projects and minor works. Image The team acts as liaison for learning and teaching spaces, audio visual and timetabling initiatives for the University of Edinburgh Estate; this includes shaping and leading change in working practices and driving increased space utilisation across the University. They also act as the Learning & Teaching Estates representative on the Space Strategy Group, and any other associated Committees or Groups where appropriate. They ensure effective engagement on understanding the requirements for change for the benefit of the University. With the ultimate aim of developing and delivering departmental strategy, operational plans and cultural change in terms of the Learning and Teaching spaces. This includes:Liaising with the student community, Academic colleagues and Professional Services on all projects with a learning and teaching aspectDeveloping standards and good practice for various teaching spaces stylesCoordinating the annual Teaching Accommodation Improvement Initiative – a rolling programme to improve centrally managed teaching space.Learning and Teaching StrategyReviewing and enhancing the way that our physical and digital estates support high quality learning and teaching.Learning and Teaching Spaces Strategy We aim to be responsive and sector-leading in the creative use of our spaces to inspire and deliver an outstanding learning and teaching experience.
